This is an Information sheet I use for the English speaking groups which I hope will be helpful to the diesel tractor users.TEF and FF30DS..
How to Prime Fuel System on a TEF or FF30DS Tractor
Make sure the main tank is full so that the level of fuel is higher than the vent on the auxiliary tank, remove the vent pipe from the top of the auxiliary tank and let the fuel flow out, it should flow fairly quickly, if it doesn't check the fuel tap itself that it isn't restricted in any way, also check the flow out of the main tank, which should be quite fast, check the banjo bolt into the auxiliary tank at the right side underneath the Ki-gas tank which has to be removed to do this. It can be awkward to do because of its position and tends to be neglected and forgotten or just left. Allow the fuel to run out of the pipe at the banjo bolt and let it wash out anything that may be held in the pipe. Once this is done, refit the banjo bolt and the pipe to the auxiliary tank then allow it to completely fill and fuel should run out of the vent pipe hole fairly quickly, screw the vent pipe back in and take care not to cross the threads doing that. Go to the filter nearest the driver and remove the bleed screw on top, operate the feed pump till the fuel runs out, don't operate the feed pump too hard when the fuel starts to run out as you can get a false impression that there is air in the system, repeat this on the other filter too, then go to the bleed screw on the feed pipe that runs to the front of the injection pump, again bleed it out using the feed pump, then go to the screw on the front side of the injection pump and repeat, then go to the rear screw on the side and repeat the bleeding again. You should regularly drain the water etc. out of the auxiliary tank so it doesn't build up in there, using the drain screw on the under side of the tank, on the rear corner. If you have any problem priming the filters it can be due to the engine needing turning slightly to allow the pump operating lever to come off the cam and allow a full stroke, it can also be that the filter in the feed pump is restricted and needs cleaning. Depending on which type of feed pump is fitted to your tractor it may need to come off the engine to do this. Also check the flow out of the bottom of the auxiliary tank tap as that may need cleaning too like the main tank tap. You should be able feel if the feed pump is pumping quite easily; all you have to do it keep pumping the lever till bubble free fuel runs out of the top of the filter. Always filter your Diesel fuel as you fill the tank, it can save a lot of problems in the long term.
